Located at 36 Ly Thuong Kiet Street, Hoan Kiem District in Hanoi, Vietnamese Women’s Museum offers visitors an opportunity to explore the significance of women in the cultural and historical legacy of Vietnam. It showcases valuable documents and artifacts that tell the stories of women from all over the country, highlighting their impactful contributions in the past, present, and future.
Vietnamese Women’s Museum holds a vast collection of artifacts, photographs, and exhibits that depict the life of Vietnamese women throughout history. From difficulties during the war to modern-day challenges faced by women, the museum praises the contributions of women in Vietnamese society, culture, and history.
A brief history of Vietnamese Women’s Museum:
– 1987: The museum was established as Hanoi Women’s Museum
– 1995: The museum was officially opened to the public and renamed Vietnamese Women’s Museum
– 2010: The museum underwent a renovation, featuring a display system with three themes: women in the family, women in history, and women’s fashion
– 2015-2016: The museum was recognized as one of the top 25 most appealing museums in Asia and received the awards for “Top tourist attraction in Vietnam”.
The entrance fees of Vietnamese Women’s Museum are as follows:
– Adults: 40,000 VND/ticket
– Children/students: 10,000 VND/ticket
– College students/members of Vietnamese Women’s Union: 20,000 VND/ticket
